FOUR CORNERS OF OASIS (FINE ART WORK SHIRT)

FOUR CORNERS OF OASIS is an oil painting transposed from canvas to cotton to soundtrack.

In the Fall of 2022, I learned that Picasso built his entire career & legacy stealing IP (Intellectual Property) and aesthetics from West African artists and architects, making me curious about his iconography, leading me to create my own signs + symbols thru my Pan-African (Uganda & Liberia) ancestry.

With lots of unstructured time to experiment & re-invent during the era social distancing, I screen-printed & transposed this oil painting onto a shirt & DJ mix with the working artist in mind.

Each garment features a slow-crafted composition inspired by Black Diasporic street art + culture in rich shades of Green, Yellow, Blue, and Red found in all corners of Earth.
